chicago (warning: a kinda long post)

I slept off my jet lag until one this afternoon. I gotta say, I missed visiting the city. I love being totally submerged in the busy sidewalks, over-sized shopping malls, and going out to eat every single night. Everyone I spoke to was SO friendly and helpful. This was my first time in Chicago, but I already caught myself searching for colleges out there. Michigan Avenue was lined with low budget stores like Forever XXI and Zara, to designer boutiques like Marc Jacobs and Burberry. I went a little crazy at two new stores I've never been to/heard of before.

I'm a new fan of Lush, the Canadian company who handmakes their all-natural beauty products. My mom & I are sharing Ocean Salt (can be used for head-to-toe exfoliation) and Each Peach massage bar. I got my own Lemony Flutter (for dry cuticles or any body part for that matter) and Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar (a solid bar that melts onto your skin). I'm already planning my online purchase...

Here's what I bought at my new favorite clothing store, Aritzia. Based out of Canada, it sells tons of designer brands but everything was 30-70% on sale! So of course, I went to town... the two sales girls had so much fun throwing clothes at me like I was a doll. (Next door to my new favorite store was a tea shop called Teavana. I bought their special mix of Blueberry Bliss and Strawberry Lemonade. It was naturally sweetened and they brewed it right in front of me! If I ever cut down on coffee (which I probably should), I need a whole brewing kit!)

In addition to clothes, I picked up a set of 6 miniature cupcakes from More. I had two of each: salted caramel, black & white, and red velvet (left to right).

I'll spare you from the tourist-y shots my mom took. :) XXX. photo credit- me
